Expedition Taster a la France

Brand New for 2025

Since Adventure Equipped started, we have been asked and encouraged by our customers to arrange gatherings and shared adventures. Whether this be with a gentle day explore some green-lanes, a more adventurous pay & play off-road day, a chilled camp out or a full blown Adventure Equipped hosted TentBox Take Over.

Well, spicing things up from our usual green-lane and off-road travels around tight and twisty Devon, or the rocky hillsides of Wales, we are combining our roots of vehicle dependent travel, our sense of adventure and our experience of touring on the continent in a whole new plan.

Introducing the Adventure Equipped Expedition Taster a la France!

This trip will take us on a 3-day adventure to the unforgettable Domain Du Marquenterre. Thereare several 4×4 trails in the sand dunes of the Parc du Marquenterre that are specifically designed for the more adventurous driver, including hill climbs, bomb holes, pine woodlands, and even beaches. All packed into one huge site, this is the place to visit to test your 4x4 and experience sand driving without travelling to the Sahara. Whether you’re a seasoned off-roader or a beginner, the 4×4 trails in the Parc du Marquenterre offer a fantastic opportunity to experience the thrill of off-roading in a beautiful natural setting and the perfect shake down or training trip before a full blown expedition.

What’s more, the Parc du Marquenterre is a nature reserve that is home to a large variety of wildlife, including migratory birds, seals, and more, providing an excellent way to see the sights and learn about the history and culture of the region.

DAY 1    There are two options. If you want to arrive ahead of the main group you can meet us in France, however otherwise we will welcome everyone to meet and join our convoy to travel to the port and across to France, before travelling on down to the campsite to meet with anyone already in France ahead of the trip. We will set up camp for the evening and get to know one another; time to grab your favourite campchair!

DAY 2    We will head to Parc Du Marquenterre for 9am where we will be welcomed with tea/coffee and be briefed on safety and the site, ready for the day ahead. We are then free to set off touring the site, safe knowing the Rangers will be there to help guide us along the way. Rest assured, whenever an obstacle seems too much both guidance and a bypass route will be available.

For lunch we will meet for a picnic. We will continue with full access to the site and its sights until 6pm when we will return to camp. Here we will all set upand prep our own evening meals, before bringing them to group together to talk about the awesome day we’ve all just had. The perfect time to really test those camp kitchen set-ups!

DAY 3    No rush to leave means there’s time to explore the local towns. Perhaps pick up a souvenir, some local wine or visit the patisserie just once more. For those choosing to extend their trip we will say our farewells here, others we’ll convoy back to the ferry for the UK, bidding farewell aboard before returning to our cars and disembarking to head home.
